Healing Fortress

Intuitive Readings And Spiritual Healing

Dictionary definition of fortress

I grew up in Italy. As a sensitive and dreamy character, I never really fitted into the normal. I had a car accident at 6 that I survived but stayed in my consciousness for many years. It was one of those moments in life, that you remember because you survived it and life wasn’t the same anymore. Since then, I watched my body struggling to stay afloat from decisions that didn’t really fit my path. Regardless, I kept an eye on my dreams. I knew that they were there for a reason.

In 2010, a synchronous encounter in a coffee shop led me to discover Reiki. I don’t know how but I just knew that was right. I was in a corporate job in London. I was trying to get into the corporate ladder. I sat next to this mysterious alive Italian and my life was never the same since. With Roberto’s help, the corporate ladder began to fade away. I stepped up the ladder of individuation. The ladder of healing. The ladder that goes up from inside, takes its own unique direction. Sometimes it’s quite patchy, steely, bumpy, still alive and real.

Fabiana

I was attuned to Reiki 1, 2 and 3 over a 5 year period, in which many beautiful events happened. The old left space for the new, I embraced a completely new turn of events, quite unknown and unpredictable, often led by more pain yet more happiness. If you met me then, you wouldn’t know this process was so painful, for I’m quite humorous about my disgraces. Still, what I knew deep inside was that these moments are the golden keys to a more fulfilling existence.  Once that box was opened, there was no turning back.

I feel it’s now time to share bits and pieces of this experience with the world outside. It’s a choice I was led to take this year, after pushing the idea away for a long time, so to fit in, because I had not learnt my lesson after all!

What I do in my work is grounded in the practice of Reiki, and can take different directions, depending on where my intuition leads me. I use tarot cards, I may reach for my drum, I may begin to draw or use encaustic art.

What is

Reiki Healing?

Reiki is a safe, gentle, natural, and simple hands-on healing technique that uses spiritual energy to reduce stress, increase relaxation, and promote healing. It is holistic in nature, balancing and healing the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Reiki can also be used to encourage personal and spiritual awareness, development, and growth.

The word Reiki (pronounced Ray Kee) is often translated as “universal life force energy” or “spiritual energy”. Reiki is made of two Japanese words Rei and Ki. Rei translates to “sacred”, “soul”, or “spirit”. It means the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the Universe; the wisdom that comes from God that is all-knowing, which understands the cause of all problems and difficulties and knows how to heal them.

Ki translates to “life force energy”. Life force energy is present in every living thing.

A treatment takes about an hour and is usually carried out with the recipient lying comfortably on a massage table, covered with a soft blanket. There is no pressure, manipulation or massage. A treatment usually feels very relaxing, warm and peaceful as the energy flows through them. It is not uncommon to feel emotional as the Reiki brings to the surface old issues and patterns to be released. Some people feel highly energized after a treatment, while others feel sleepy.

Reiki is effective in helping a wide-variety of physical, mental, and emotional conditions. It also works well in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

What Is

Encaustic Art?

Encaustic is a Greek word meaning “to heat or burn in” (enkaustikos). Heat is used throughout the process, from melting the beeswax and varnish to fusing the layers of wax.

Encaustic consists of natural bees wax and dammar resin (crystallized tree sap). The medium is melted and applied to a postcard sized paper, with a traveling iron.

The result which is always very stunning to look at can be read intuitively, framed, used a meditative tool and any ideas you may have! I combine this tool with a Tarot Reading, as I find the two complement each other. You don’t have to do anything, other than relaxing yourself into the experience, allowing your intuition to lead you.

What to Expect

From a Session

My approach is by intuition mainly.

I usually tune into the client before the session and take the discussion from there. I may start the session with distant healing. I may start it with a tarot card. Who knows! When we work with energies, we tap into unknown territories that are unbound and unmanifest. They are special reservoirs of deep healing and they emerge in different shapes and forms.

I often use some shamanic tools, as I’m training as a Shamanic practitioner.

The encaustic art comes in normally during the session as I would like to use it as a healing and meditative tool. It’s then sent to the client by mail.

At the moment, I try to keep sessions to an hour, but we may go over or under, depending on what is required.

I recommend that you come and “meet” me with an open mind and an open heart, so that we can discover what magic you have in store for yourself!

As I have worked with very sensitive children and adults in the past, just expect that I will approach this time together in a very sensitive and empathic way.
